Just Because It Is Fall Doesn’t Mean Your Dog Has To Stay Inside

Fall is the perfect time of the year, along with spring. This is the time when the weather is the right balance between winter and summer. It is not too cold and not too hot, and you can still wear your sundress, depending on where you live. This is when you get out as much as you can because soon the winter will be here, and you along with your dog will be forced to stay inside.

So put that phone down and get to planning and preparing to celebrate your fall with your furry friend. Here are some of the things that you both can do together:

Pick a pumpkin with your pumpkin

Pumpkin is the typical food for the autumn season. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cake, pumpkin everything. You will certainly have to go pumpkin picking around the block so why not include your furry friend on the journey. A lot of the pumpkin patches tend to allow dogs to accompany their parents, with the clause that you clean up after them.

It is best that you call the favorite pumpkin patch beforehand and ask them if they accommodate dogs or not. Also, make sure to bring with you a lot of fresh cold water so that they stay hydrated all along. Other than that you can also bring with you some fun dog toys from Pet Qwerks such as the X tire Balls. This will keep them occupied and prevent them from ruining the patches.

Costume contests

October is here, this means so is Halloween. Why not enter your handsome furry friend in a costume contest? There are so many amazing costumes on Amazon that you can choose from and this is the perfect weather where your dog can stand outside for long without feeling uncomfortable. Have your little friend hop into a cute pirate, Superman, and minion costume and let them have fun. A lot of the contests tend to have a specific theme following them which adds to the fun even more.

Road trip

What better way to bond with your pet than to go to another city together? That too when you are going by car. Just take a bunch of their fun dog toys like the BarkBone and Flavorit Bone and you’re both are good to go. You can also book a room in a pet-friendly resort or hotel and have a much-needed break from the city.

The leaves are the best part

Here is a fun idea that will not cost you too much. All you need is a rake, and your dog’s favorite dog toys, whether they are Babble Balls or X Tire Balls. Just rake the leaves into a mound on one side of your yard or lawn, or you can just take your dog to the park with all their toys. Just make sure that you have adequate supply of water to keep them hydrated. Then that is it, all you have to do is throw their favorite toys in the leaves and watch them have fun.
